Within one day of its release, the Consumer Preview of Windows 8 has reached more than one million downloads.

The?team building Windows 8 tweeted out the million downloads milestone?yesterday and?offers system recommendations on its blog as well.

Users can poke around the OS, which is free in this version, but to make the most of it, you need a device with a touchscreen.?
