??Season Ticket Information
NEWARK, Del. -- Price decreases in most sections and reduced seat donations in several areas of Delaware Stadium highlight the 2013 football season ticket rates announced this week by the UD?Athletics Department.
In addition to the information on tickets prices, Delaware also announced game times for its seven home games this season at Delaware Stadium.
There will be no season ticket or parking price increases for 2013 and 11 of 17 sections of the stadium will see a decrease in rates, some by as much as 35 percent. In addition, reduced UD Athletic Fund contribution levels in five sideline reserved sections on the East side of Delaware Stadium will be in place.
Season ticket prices will be as follows: Section A, B, F, G, H, I, L, M, and N ($120 - decrease of $30); Section A Alumni ($99); Sections C, E, J ($150); Sections D and K ($150 - decrease of $30); Box Seats ($205 - decrease of $25), End Zone ($99), and End Zone Family Packs ($235 for five tickets).
Seat donation rates will be reduced in Sections I, J, K, L, and M and will remain the same in Sections A, B, C, D, E, F, G, N, and the End Zone. Approximately 37 percent of tickets available for sale to the general public require no UDAF?contribution.
?With the new season ahead and a new era of Delaware football beginning, we are excited to announce this information to our loyal season ticket holders,? said UD Director of Athletics and Recreation Services Eric Ziady. ?Throughout my first three months here as athletics director, I have continuously been impressed by the passion of Blue Hens fans and we want to thank all UD?fans for thir ongoing support. We believe we have put together a season ticket package that fits in every budget. More than a third of the tickets in Delaware Stadium can now be purchased without a donation, and donation requirements in many other areas will decrease. With Coach Brock on board, we look forward to building on the rich history and tradition of Blue Hens Football in the years ahead?
In addition to the prices listed above, the University will continue to offer a $99 alumni section ($14.14 per game), a $235 family plan ($6.71 per person per game), and great faculty and staff discounts.
Season ticket holders will continue to have priority in purchasing away game tickets, including the Sept. 14 game at Navy, and will continue to receive benefit cards with discounts in the community and access to other Blue Hen sporting events.
Starting times for Delaware?s seven home games this season will be: Aug. 29 vs. Jacksonville (7:30 p.m.); Sept. 7 vs. Delaware State (6 p.m.); Sept. 21 vs. Wagner (6 p.m.); Sept. 28 vs. James Madison (6 p.m.); Oct. 12 vs. Albany (3:30 p.m.); Nov. 9 vs. William & Mary (12 noon); and Nov. 16 vs. Richmond (12 noon). Times are subject to change based on television schedules, which will be announced in the summer.
Game times were selected based on several factors. The August time was selected to allow fans plenty of time to arrive on a week night of a holiday weekend. The 6 p.m. time slot for September games was chosen to accommodate fans with families as they adjust to the return of school and the beginning of fall youth activities.
In addition, football under the lights at Delaware Stadium provides a great atmosphere and energizes the student body early in the season. The afternoon time slot in October (3:30 p.m.) was chosen because the days are getting shorter and weather getting chillier. The noon time slot for the two November games was chosen because the days are getting darker earlier and the weather is turning colder. This gives fans the opportunity to arrive at Delaware Stadium earlier in the day and take part in breakfast tailgates.
Specific dates for special events such as Homecoming and Parents and Family Weekend will be announced later this spring.
